FACEBOOK ... but keep coming back to the blog too as it is still being used as well ...
Let us know which you prefer and why! Make contact.
Maxwell Hunt does like to hear from you!
A wonderful knitted jacket with fetching gold buttons!
This jacket is a recent addition and it is a very striking colour, as you can see.  The buttons are a definite feature of this design.  Let us know what you think, here or on Facebook!

Another jacket, in a different style.  The trim is particularly interesting in white and   the jacket itself in pink.  Attractive  indeed.
Two jackets above, recently added to the range if knitwear in the shop.  Both are special and individual, as you can see.  On with the knitting!
THREE VIEWS OF A CABLED ARAN JUMPER!

Believe it or not, these three pictures, all of the same jumper are the same colour!  The flash for the close ups made the difference.  Certainly some lovely cabling from the needles of Maxwell Hunt.  In store now, and about to add this three facet photograph to the Facebook page!  On with the knitting!

three hats ...

Remember these.  Three hats and all special ...

There is now a Facebook Page for Hitch 'n Stitch ...

Maxwell Hunt at Hitch 'n Stitch, Oatlands, Tasmania ... that should be enough for you to find the page, I believe.  The three hats have been posted on the Facebook page too ...
On with the knitting and on with the day!

Now Maxwell Hunt has a Facebook page ...   a search for Hitch 'n Stitch Facebook should give you access to the page.  However, we are still going to keep the blog site, so here are some recent additions ...  feel free to visit Facebook  like  it as well!

DO YOU REMEMBER THIS GLORIOUS JUMPER?

When I was updating the blog and looking around the site I saw this lovely jumper and I had to put it here on this page again!  I remember who ordered this jumper and they chose the colours and the pattern.  While it was awaiting collection, another person came into the shop and ordered a similar one.  They could not have this one of course, as it was an order, so they, independently of the original order, asked for a similar one!  Lovely.  One wonders whether these two jumpers will ever meet each other?  It is unlikely, given where the wearers live ... but one never knows!  On with the knitting!

REPLICATION IN PROGRESS ...

Here you can see the original needlework for the stool, on the right,  and on the left, the start of the replication.  I have done a lot more since then and will post more photographs later ... but this will give you an idea of the finished product, in relation to the original.  It is certainly growing on me!  This is not surprising, given the time I have spent so far!  On with the needlework ...

TAPESTRY SEAT FOR A STOOL TO BE REPLICATED!

A customer asked for the needlework for this stool to be replicated.  Can this be done?  Well, the answer is,  "Yes of course!!!" So I have made a start, see above for the progress so far!!! The original colours had faded, in the extreme.  The client wanted the faded colours rather than the original bright lime greens, vivid purples and other psychedelic colours!  Of course either was possible!

A needlework stool, to be replicated!

BEANIES GALORE ....

Soon  I will add some photographs of a selection of Beanies hot from the needles of Mr. Maxwell Hunt.   The weather is quite cold in Tasmania at the moment, so a Beanie is a necessary fashion accessory!  Why not visit us in Oatlands, on the Heritage Highway and look at the full selection?  Or email Mr. Maxwell Hunt and discuss an order.  Perhaps an order of a Beanie and matching gloves or mittens!  Or both!!!  Make a statement and be sartorially noticed.  All is possible!  On with the knitting!

THIS CHILD'S REINDEER JUMPER WAS FORGOTTEN ... BUT HERE IT IS NOW!

I spied this little jumper in the shop and checked to
find it had not been included on this blog!
What an oversight!
Here it is for your approval now!

A LINED JACKET ...

A Lined BouclĂ© Jacket ... in beautiful blues with Buttons from New Zealand in  Paua!  Gorgeous!!!

Gorgeous  and lined ...  the way it slips on is magnificent ...

The Paua Buttons match wonderfully with the colours of the jacket ...

100 PERCENT ALPACA ... WARM AND FRIENDLY!

An Icelandic Jersey in 100% alpaca. In fact there are three like this  in the shop now, but in different colours. Another in dark blue shades and  yet another in light blues!  A rainbow of choices!

SOME CHILDREN'S KNITWEAR ...

Let me know what you think.  Below is a selection of knitwear for children.  This is just to give you an idea.  I will up date some of the pages with other examples of wonderful knitwear soon.  I am also thinking of adding a page for children.  Leave it with me and I will decide anon.  Back to the knitting ...
A Child's Arran ... how cute is that!

Little Scotty dogs, with lovely matching buttons!   Enough to make you barking mad!!!

A small contingent of little soldiers!  Note the silver chin straps and the white cockade!

A lovely little cardigan with little hearts and buttons to match ....

REINDEER MOTIFS AND SNOW FLAKES ... CHARMING

I am in the process of knitting a jumper featuring reindeer  motifs and snow flakes.  This piece of knitwear is in natural colours and looks a treat in my opinion.  I have already finished the back and two sleeves and will continue with the front on my return from my holiday in the warm North.  Then I will add some pictures of the finished article ...  I enjoy designing jumpers and the results always please me.  I know there is a customer out there who will love this jumper when it is finished ... so that is two happy people, at least ... on with the knitting ...  wherever we are!  Pictures will follow soon!

LOCAL ORDERS ...

I have been filling local orders ... two pieces of knitwear for one valued customer!   I will upload some new photographs of these finished articles soon ...  It is a joy to be able to fulfil an order for a special customer.  When they pick the colour and also the style for their special order, I know they will love the finished result, as they themselves have put time and effort into considering what they want and so they will be pleased with the addition to their wardrobe ...  On with the knitting I say ...

TIME FOR A HOLIDAY IN THE SUN ....

Yes  in the sun   ...  Port Douglas is sounding good ... but I will take some knitting with me ... as I never travel without something on the go!  More information about my Summer Holiday projects later ...  All for now ...  and out with the needles for Maxwell Hunt!!!
