HARLEQUIN SLIPPER NUMBER ONE!

Well here is one completed Harlequin Slipper ...  from a very interesting book which was all about slippers!  Our client, who has a collection of slippers already, wants more and more.  This was his next request.  I will now begin the matching slipper and when finished I hope to show you a completed picture of the made up slippers!  I can hardly wait ...

THE EHRMANN PHEASANT IN ALL ITS GLORY ...

Well here is the Ehrmann pheasant, and he has been taken  to his new home, already.  He will make a very handsome cushion, as I am sure you will agree.  It was lovely to be stitching him and to know he had a home to go to!   We are happy to stitch special orders ... just email and let us know your requirements ...  discuss it with us and everyone wins!

A HANDSPUN CREATION ...

Here is a hand spun  jumper which was a specific order for a customer.  This customer selected the colours and wanted a homespun version.  Here is the result.  When he collected it he was extremely pleased.

In fact, while this jumper was awaiting collection two customers spied it and wanted to buy it!  One of these in fact  ordered something similar, to their own specifications. Fantastic.  If you have a special reuquirment, then email Maxwell Hunt and ask him about it!  A mutual agreement is always possible, to the benefit of all parties!

HANDSPUN ... WHAT A SPECIAL TREAT TO WORK WITH!!!

Maxwell Hunt has been working in handspun wool and the results are stunningly different.  More homespun items will appear, so keep a look out.

Sold before it was put on the blog site!  High praise indeed!

CHRISTMAS WISHES ... FOR ONE AND ALL ...

We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and trust you are looking forward to a wonderful 2014!

Maxwell Hunt has decided to add some new items of children's knitwear to extend his range even further.  We will keep you posted re progress in this area, but Mr. Hunt has already started a lovely red jumper featuring black Scottie dogs as a design feature!  Sound interesting?  Keep checking this site for progress.

Some new pictures will be added to the blog site shortly, one a cricket vest with lovely cabling, a special order for a customer.  Also a chunky jumper in 12 play in charcoal which was also another special order!

Speaking of special orders, Mr. S of the beaded slipper fame, amongst others, has ordered a pair of slippers in a Harlequin/Rainbow design and a start has been made on the Right slipper and I will put an in progress picture on line shortly.  When Mr. S. came in to collect his rejuvenated slippers he saw an Ehrmann Pheasant being worked and promptly said he would take it when it was complete.   Finished it is and it has gone to join the Lobster Cushion which he also purchased, if you remember!

Happy New Year to one and All
Maxwell Hunt

Beaded Slippers ... a special order!

Take a look at the Accessories Page and you will find a very special order indeed, for a very special customer.  You will see a picture of one slipper, there is a matching one which is almost finished!   There is a close up of the beaded area of the slipper and the slipper matches the template of the client's foot!

The slipper features a beaded Prince of Wales' Feather  on a red needlepoint background, and this colour was specially chosen by the the customer!

I believe the finished work will be sent off to a very special company of shoe makers, dare I call them cobblers, and they will be turned into slippers.  They will not be glass slippers, but the beads certainly are glass, but they are a very unusual example of footwear, and I am sure you will agree.

Needlework ... to be framed when completed ready to go to a lovely home ...

Below you can see a set of some examples of unframed  needlework  ... there are  four  in this matching set. The individual pieces of needlework feature lemons, apples, pears and oranges.
The  orange example is  not quite finished yet, but is well on the way.

When all four are finished they will be framed separately, but matching,
and for sale at Hitch and Stitch.

Lemons ...
Apples ...

Pears ...

Oranges ... unfinished ...
